A musical ride with the famed Chicken Dancer, shakerboarder extraordinaire LiWen Tan.

At long last, the hotly anticipated video of LiWen shaking a leg (and a board) in front of a Church’s Chicken, on Lougheed Highway in Burnaby. (Oh, and don’t miss his profile.) LiWen is what they call a “shakerboarder” – paid by a shop to attract the eyes of passers-by. How good is LiWen at his job? Take a look for yourself. He is, by a wide margin, the best we at BCBusiness have ever seen. LiWen says that a “bright dome of energy” surrounds him, and he thinks the most important dancing asset is passion. That, and “rhythm, baby!”

This tape was collected and edited by digital editor John Bucher. Music: “Sandstorm,” by Darude. If you have inquiries about LiWen or shakerboarding, contact him directly, by e-mail.
