Wearables may be in the midst of a moment, but heart-rate monitors are still the top-selling device in the sector. After a Kickstarter round in 2012, which raised three times its original funding goal, Vancouver-based Physi-Cal Enterprises set out to launch a device that could track more than just your heart rate and the time. 

Speaking from last week’s GROW conference in Whistler, co-founder Liz Dickinson talks about building her business, Mio, and where the markets for medical devices and fitness gadgets intersect.
