Uber partners with CAARE in a warm and fuzzy approach to winning approval

Is your office dog-friendly? Apparently Uber is.

Unable to persuade B.C. municipalities to allow it to operate, the alternative taxi service is trying to win public support—and Uber users—by providing puppies to play with (or even adopt).

On August 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Uber will deliver puppies to downtown Vancouver businesses—Uber notes that puppies can only be delivered to offices—for 15 minutes of playtime. The $30 fee goes to pup provider Companion Animal Advocacy & Rescue Effort. Simply request the puppy option on your Uber app (so, yes, you need to download the Uber app).
