From $10 eggs Benedict to a five-course menu, there is something for everyone

If you’d ever wanted to enjoy a hearty brunch while sipping sparkling wines and champagne in one of Canada’s best restaurants, L’Abattoir’s Bubbles at Brunch special on Saturdays and Sundays is sure to please and surprise those taste buds. Along with a traditional breakfast plate and dishes like roasted corn and tomato quiche, diners can choose from a slew of fine bubblies, from Okanagan sparkling wines to European red and white wines, among others.

Brunch is back at Glowbal inside the Telus Garden in downtown Vancouver. The restaurant has added $10 eggs Benedict to the menu. Other choices include green eggs and ham (spinach scrambled eggs, smoked country ham, miniature buttermilk scones), lobster Benedict (Atlantic lobster, champagne hollandaise), Belgian waffles (caramelized bananas, white chocolate mousse) and stuffed French toast (hot maple syrup served tableside). Every brunch includes complimentary mini donuts and fruit smoothie shooters.

The Lobby Lounge at the Fairmont Pacific Rim has introduced a Japanese-inspired brunch: five courses starting with a choice of red tuna tataki or torched wagyu beef salad followed by an entrée of wild salmon benny or pork kakuni. All this for $42 (plus $28 for cocktail pairing).

You’ll need to plan ahead for the Wildflower Restaurant’s Bubbles and Brunch feast on Sunday, November 13. Part of Whistler’s food and drink festival Cornucopia, brunch includes juicy carved roasts, fresh seafood, made-to-order omelettes and decadent desserts to the tune of live music. Tickets ($79 per person, $37.50 per child, no charge for children under five) are on sale until sold out.
