Vancouver Convention Centre
September 30, 2016
More than 1,300 business leaders and VIPs attended the 23rd annual EY (Ernst & Young) Entrepreneur of the Year Awards at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Thirty finalists were feted at the annual gala beginning with a networking reception prior to the awards ceremony with emcee Chris Gailus, Global BC anchor. The Pacific Region overall winner was Dr. Allen Eaves, Stemcell Technologies Inc. president & CEO.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year is an annual global awards program administered by Ernst & Young (EY). Canada’s Pacific Region competition is overseen by the Ernst & Young LLP Vancouver office, which selects judges from among business leaders and past EOY winners. Judges look for a number of factors, including vision, leadership, financial performance and social responsibility. The Pacific Region winner is among five regional winners for Canada’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year; the Canadian winner advances to an annual competition for World Entrepreneur of the Year from among 60 country winners, each year held in Monte Carlo.
