Fashionable headgear makes a comeback.
In the past, being well-dressed meant never leaving the house without a hat. For gentlemen, that meant donning a topper, a fedora or a bowler. For ladies: a fascinator, a bonnet, a beret or a spitzel. But the laid-back fashion statements of the early 1960s marked the beginning of the demise of everyday headgear, throwing milliners out of business and severely limiting the styles of hats available on the market. Makers of toques, however, seem to have picked up the slack in this province.
