What is your most marked characteristic? My kids always make fun of my big, round head. It’s hard to find a hockey helmet that fits.

How do you take your coffee? Always decaffeinated, with a bit of cream.

What is your present state of mind? I feel good, but I know the next unexpected challenge is around the corner.
 
What do you consider your greatest achievement? It is an honour to serve as the chief of the best police force in the world, policing the best city in the world.
 
What is your greatest regret? I wish I played more organized sports as a kid.
 
On what occasion do you lie? When my wife asks if I had any snacks during the day.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue? That’s too hard to pick. Probably decisiveness.

What is your greatest extravagance? Years ago, we took the kids to Disneyland when we were mortgaged up to our eyeballs.

Which talent would you most like to have? Playing the piano.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I wish I had longer arms to help my stickhandling and shooting in ice hockey.
