A Night to Dream Gala: Ronald McDonald House BC 2014
The Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel
October 09, 2014
More than 500 guests attended the A Night to Dream Gala presented by Freedom 55 Financial at The Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. As the premier fundraising event for Ronald McDonald House, over $440,000 was raised to support families who require life-saving treatment for their children. In June 2014, a new 56,000-square-foot Ronald McDonald House was built on the campus of BC Children's Hospital.
The evening began with a champagne reception and bidding for silent auction items including a signed guitar by Paul McCartney. Masters of ceremonies for the evening were Kristi Gordon and Steve Darling from Global TV. Dinner in the ballroom was followed by keynote speeches and live entertainment. A live auction ended the evening featuring Howard Blank as auctioneer.
Ronald McDonald House BC is a “home-away-from-home” that provides an affordable place to live for seriously ill children and their families while the child is undergoing medical treatment at BC Children’s Hospital. The new house can accommodate 73 families each night, along with play time, family dinners and bedtime stories.
