Best Companies 2012 Awards Fairmont Hotel Vancouver November 28, 2012 The 11th annual Best Companies to Work For in B.C. awards and networking event was a celebration of the B.C. businesses striving to create a better workplace for employees. From health and wellness perks, flexible schedules to leadership and development, a "best company" can be defined in many ways, but they all instill a sense of value and worth in their employees.

The 11th annual Best Companies to Work For in B.C. awards and networking event was a celebration of the B.C. businesses striving to create a better workplace for employees. From health and wellness perks, flexible schedules to leadership and development, a “best company” can be defined in many ways, but they all instill a sense of value and worth in their employees.

CEO and chair of Canada Wide Media, Peter Legge, co-hosted the event with daughter and director of online sales, Rebecca, as they recognized the award winners. In tribute to this year’s sporting theme (companies were asked to compare themselves to an athlete), head coach of the Canadian women Olympic soccer team John Herdman gave a inspiring keynote speech about leadership, team building and overcoming adversity. 

Hootsuite celebrated its fourth birthday in true style, taking first place for the Best Company to Work For with more than 100 employees. Congratulations again to all of the finalists and winners!
