Companies with gender diversity, especially in leadership, have been widely shown to have better performance in many areas including return on equity, profit and shareholder value.
The good news is that the tech sector has broadly accepted the benefits of gender diversity and there are many efforts to improve how companies attract, retain and grow gender diverse workforces.
Companies are improving areas such as culture, unconscious bias, workplace environments and employment terms and benefits. Though this takes time, it is clearly the future.
