University Canada West is launching a new campus at Vancouver House in 2020
University Canada West offers a full range of business-focused programs for the leaders of the future.
Students at University Canada West’s (UCW) new campus will find more than the business-focused, teaching-intensive educational experience they have come to rely on. The school is offering a robust range of courses at Vancouver House, which means students will also be part of a community and neighbourhood unlike anything else in Vancouver.
UCW offers primarily career-focused undergraduate and graduate programs, and its Vancouver House campus will offer new leading innovative educational programs for tomorrow’s leaders to broaden their knowledge and skill set in a competitive and evolving digital business environment.
“This is an extremely important announcement for the evolution of University Canada West,” says Brock Dykeman, UCW President. “We will continue to deliver quality education while shaping the future of a new community in the heart of Vancouver’s downtown.”
Located between the West End and Yaletown, Vancouver House a globally recognized project designed by Bjarke Ingels, founder of leading architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) forms the catalyst for the complete reimagining of the surrounding area and the creation of a new neighbourhood called the Beach District.
Students at UCW’s new campus will be part of Vancouver’s newest neighbourhood and community.
The new UCW campus will be one of the project’s anchors, supporting the area’s transformation into a community hub and gathering place. The campus will be just steps away from Sunset Beach, English Bay and Vancouver’s 28-kilometer Seawall—the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path.
UCW will begin delivering programs at the Vancouver House campus by mid-2020. The university will be the largest tenant of this high-profile development, hosting over 3,400 new students in two state-of-the-art buildings with a total of 90,000 square ft. of space.
“Our new campus, in the centre of one of the world’s most livable cities, will give students the skills they need with leading MBA and tech-based programs,” says Cyndi McLeod, CEO of Global University Systems Canada. “This is what tomorrow’s leaders are looking for.”
UCW will also continue to operate its West Pender Campus, as University Canada West continues to expand.
