Close to 200 VIPs and fishing enthusiasts were on hand for the West Coast Fishing Club’s Fishing for Kids Tournament Reception at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The event, emceed by Terry David Mulligan, was a send-off for the participants of the Fishing for Kids Tournament, which took place the following day in Haida Gwaii. The annual tournament benefits the Canucks Autism Network, and has contributed over $5 million in eight years to help B.C. children’s charities. Special guest Juno Award-winning singer Tom Cochrane performed by the swimming pool, and the evening ended with a live auction by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
