Housed in a former Vancouver Police Department station, Hootsuite’s new $2-million, 34,000-square-foot office gives the pre-eminent social media dashboard ample room to grow as it hires at least 100 new engineers, marketers and customer service reps in the coming months. Got your heart set on a finding space in the nest? Your résumé may end up among the 700 that Hootsuite’s HR honcho Amborsia Humphrey, the so-called VP of people, receives per month. In-house perks include a yoga studio, a dim-lit nap room, beer on tap and a fully equipped gym. Hootsuite will scale up through 2013, expanding expands its presence in Vancouver, London and possibly opening up in San Francisco, New York and Hong Kong, says CEO Ryan Holmes.
