The 34th Angel Forum was held October 22 with awards going to nearly twenty local companies
The man who grew local medical imaging startup A.L.I. Technologies from a small, 14-employee startup in 1993 into a company with revenues in excess of US $100-million a year, was named Angel Investor of the Year at the 34th Angel Forum last week. A former EY Pacific region Entrepreneur of the Year, Greg Peet sold A.L.I. Technologies to global pharmaceutical giant McKesson Corporation for a whopping $530-million in 2004, which still stands as one of the largest valued technology purchases recorded for a B.C. company. The forum recognized Peet was for his work as an active angel investor and for his leadership in several private and public technology companies.
