More than 4,000 of Vancouver's best-dressed young professionals flock to Hastings Racecourse for a day of fun and frolic
Crystal Carson, Deighton Cup style co-ordinator; the Gallant Sartorialist winner Prevail, from the Swollen Members; and the Belle du Jour winner Eboye Porbeni
A record 4,000 well-dressed guests attended the 9th Annual Deighton Cup at Hastings Racecourse opening up the Marquee and Concourse as one complete VIP experience produced by the Social Concierge and Parade Agency. Miles End Motors Field of Dreams had only the best supercars on display along with a picnic area, cigar lounge and champagne stage as men wandered in their best silk bow ties and women mingled in their finest fascinators.
Attendees were also entered into the Style Stakes where fashion industry judges chose a semi-finalist from the crowd at the most stylish event of the summer. This year’s Best Dressed Award winners were Swollen Members musician Prevail as the Gallant Sartorialist and Eboye Porbeni as the Belle Du Jour.
Named after legendary Vancouver saloon owner John “Gassy Jack” Deighton, the event donates proceeds from each ticket to charity partners Variety—The Children’s Charity and Imagine1day.
