Real estate sales data for the week of August 4 to 10 sourced from real estate boards across the province by Zolo Realty
This Kitsilano townhouse was one of eight B.C. homes to sell for more than $1 million last week
Sizzling summer temperatures mean that well-appointed properties with great curb appeal sell quickly. Last week, a waterfront home in West Kelowna and a townhouse in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood topped the list of most expensive homes sold in the province, according to data analyzed by Vancouver-based Zolo Realty on behalf of BCBusiness.
Listed for just under $5.5-million, the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom Okanagan residence went for just over 96 percent of list price after sitting on the market for 63 days. Access to Okanagan Lake and the four-minute walk to the West Kelowna Yacht Club were likely big draws for the buyers, says Zolo director of content Romana King.
The Vancouver townhouse, last week’s second-highest sale, was on the market for only six days before fetching the $2.385-million asking price. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom unit was built in 2006 and offers about 1,800 square feet of living space. Apart from it and a condo in North Vancouver’s Central Lonsdale that went for $1,050,000, single-family homes dominate the list of eight properties that sold last week for more than $1 million.
See below for details of these and other highest- and lowest-priced properties sold across the province last week.

Sales data was obtained from B.C. real estate boards by Zolo Realty on behalf of BCBusiness. The type of information from each board may vary. Because real estate records are amended and updated daily, information is always changing, and it can take three months or longer to reflect final statistics.
Zolo was launched in Vancouver in 2012 by tech entrepreneurs Riley Best, who had previously started and sold a U.K online dating site, and Jason Billingsley, who had helped found a business-to-business e-commerce operation. Looking for a new venture, the pair realized that real estate was ripe for disruption. Their primary interest was sales data, but to gain access and monetize it, they needed to be a licensed brokerage. The result was Zolo, headquartered in Vancouver, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Regina.
More than six million home shoppers a month start their search on Zolo.ca, which posts real estate tips and timely statistics, too. It also helps owners sell their homes, either on their own or through an agent.
