Real estate sales data for the week of June 23 to 29 sourced from real estate boards across the province by Zolo Realty
The priciest home sold in B.C. last week
The two most-expensive residentialproperties sold last week were located outside Metro Vancouver, according to MLS figures analyzed by Vancouver-based Zolo Realty for BCBusiness. Both went for 100 percent of list price and were on the market less than 30 days—the period before a listing is considered stale, notes Zolo director of content Romana King.
Last week, 26 percent of the properties sold for list or above list price, King observes, which is similar to the trend of the previous week, when 27 percent went for or above asking. The share of properties that sold for between 90 percent and 99.99 percent of list price dropped slightly, to 52 percent, compared to 62 percent the week before.
The highest-priced property, in Greater Victoria‘s prestigious South Oak Bay community, sold for $4.29 million after just 15 days on the market. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom single-family home has more than 6,100 square feet of living space, plus an unfinished 1,250-square-foot basement with a nine-and-a-half-foot-high ceiling.
The second-priciest sale was in the Summerland/Trout Creek area of the South Okanagan. On the market for 27 days, this property offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms on a half-acre lakeside lot. What it went for, plus details (address, selling and list price, size, days on the market) of other residential properties purchased around B.C. during the same period, are listed below.

Sales data was obtained from B.C. real estate boards by Zolo Realty on behalf of BCBusiness. The type of information from each board may vary.
Zolo was launched in Vancouver in 2012 by tech entrepreneurs Riley Best, who had previously started and sold a U.K online dating site, and Jason Billingsley, who had helped found a business-to-business e-commerce operation. Looking for a new venture, the pair realized that real estate was ripe for disruption. Their primary interest was sales data, but to gain access and monetize it, they needed to be a licensed brokerage. The result was Zolo, headquartered in Vancouver, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Regina
More than six million home shoppers a month start their search on Zolo.ca, which posts real estate tips and timely statistics, too. It also helps owners sell their homes, either on their own or through an agent.
