Real estate sales data for the week of May 26 to June 1 sourced from real estate boards across the province by Zolo Realty
Both the most- and least-expensive homes sold in B.C. last week were in the Lower Mainland: a single family home in North Vancouver and a condo in Surrey.
Realtors have to unpublish online listings once they’re sold, but details—address, price, days on market, size—of these plus other residential properties sold last week across B.C. are listed below, courtesy of Vancouver-based Zolo Realty, which can provide additional information about those currently and previously on the market.
“While some properties sold last week for more than asking, including a single-family home in the Bridge Lake/Sheridan Lake area as well as one in Lake Cowichan on Victoria Island—quite a few went for less,” notes Zolo director of content Romana King. “The big takeaway is that buyers are now able to negotiate a sale price that is less than list price in the biggest markets in the Lower Mainland, including Surrey, City of Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford. The same is true for properties sold in and near the city of Victoria.”
Still, don’t assume fire-sale prices, King cautions. Homes are still selling for 85 to 90 percent of list price, although they may have to sit on the market for quite a bit longer than anticipated. “Given that we are in the spring selling market, this is a good indication that most of the markets in B.C. no longer favour sellers,” King adds. “Homeowners will need to adjust their expectations and consider pricing their property more aggressively once the spring market ends in order to finalize a sale.

Sales data was obtained from B.C. real estate boards by Zolo Realty on behalf of BCBusiness. The type of information from each board may vary.
Zolo was launched in Vancouver in 2012 by tech entrepreneurs Riley Best, who had previously started and sold a U.K online dating site, and Jason Billingsley, who had helped found a business-to-business e-commerce operation. Looking for a new venture, the pair realized that real estate was ripe for disruption. Their primary interest was sales data, but to gain access and monetize it, they needed to be a licensed brokerage. The result was Zolo, headquartered in Vancouver with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Regina
Over six million home shoppers a month start their search on Zolo.ca, which also posts real estate tips and timely statistics. It also helps owners sell their homes, either on their own or through an agent.
