François-Philippe Champagne will share insights into how B.C. companies can capitalize on export opportunities

For those in attendance, it’s a chance to meet Canada’s self-described chief marketing officer. On Monday, August 28, BCBusiness‘s partner the BC Chamber of Commerce hosts a lunch with François-Philippe Champagne, federal minister of International Trade. Minister Champagne will update the audience on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), softwood lumber and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union. He will also share his insights into how B.C. businesses can grow by tapping international trade opportunities.

This gathering coincides with the release of the September issue of BCBusiness, whose cover story profiles several small B.C. companies that are exporting their products and services worldwide. 

Tickets for the event, which takes place from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vancouver Club, are $55 for BC Chamber of Commerce members and $65 for non-members. Presenting partner is Rio Tinto, and supporting partner is the Port of Vancouver.
