One of the leading dates on the business calendar, last night the yellow carpet was rolled out for the 2015 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Pacific Gala. More than 1,300 guests filed into the Vancouver Convention Centre for the 22nd staging. Bringing together our region’s gravity-defying entrepreneurs and influential business leaders, 30 finalists were feted at the annual awards dinner.
Fronted by Global TV anchor Chris Gailus and awards director Lui Petrollini, 10 winners were cited from various sectors. Of the recipients, John Anderson, CEO of the Oppenheimer Group, was the Pacific Region’s top dog. Brandt Louie, chief executive of B.C. grocery chain IGA and retail pharmacy outlet London Drugs, was honoured with the Family Business Award of Excellence.
