Burnaby Hospital Foundation’s 2015 gala invited its guests to experience the Big Apple, and raised over $500,000 in support of the hospital

Every November, the Burnaby Hospital Foundation hosts its signature fundraising event where guests are transported to a destination for a memorable evening all in support of Burnaby Hospital. In 2014, it was the City of Lights, and in 2015 the Foundation presented its more than 300 gala attendees with “tickets” to the Big Apple. The evening was filled with stories of amazing contributions from the hospital’s valued donors, a live auction, a raffle and insight into how the money raised will be used to further meet the needs of many patients who rely on the Burnaby Hospital for medical care and support services. The atmosphere was just as electric as the city itself, and adding to the excitement of the evening it was announced that more than half a million dollars was raised—the perfect way to cap off what was another extremely successful gala.
