Special guest Sir Tom Jones helps raise $700,000 for Vancouver's most vulnerable
Sir Tom Jones and Jacqui Cohen, Face the World founder and Army & Navy CEO
Over 240 business, community and social leaders attended the 28th annual Face the World gala at Jacqui Cohen’s Point Grey waterfront home with special guest and legendary singer Sir Tom Jones. The event, held on June 4, raised more than $700,000 for organizations that assist Vancouver’s most vulnerable.
Guests entered the driveway to a Verve Clicquot reception, before making their way into the main house and outdoor dining room on top of the swimming pool. Masters of ceremonies for the evening were Face the World Foundation board member Jill Killeen and broadcaster Mike Killeen. Dinner, presented by Gotham Steakhouse, was followed by a live auction and dancing to the music of Dr. Strangelove.
Over 27 years, Face the World has raised more than $18 million, which has been distributed to local charitable organizations with a focus on children, women and seniors.
