BC Business
The 15th annual Small Business BC Awards were given out over the weekend at the Vancouver Convention Centre, with 10 winners taking home prizes as the best in their category.
The competition began last October, when the public nominated more than 600 companies. From there, businesses were encouraged to gather as many nominations as possible, with the top 10 vote-getters in each category moving on.
The competition is whittled down to five in each category after each business submits an application detailing why it’s the worthy winner. Then an expert panel of five judges in each category reviews and debates the companies, awarding one winner in each grouping.
The final results show a diverse group, with victors from all over the province.
