More than 300 guests attended the always-splashy annual Cabriolet Charity Gala, held at the Brian Jessel BMW dealership on Boundary Road. This year proceeds from the gala and live/silent auctions went to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation.
The evening was emceed by News1130’s Tammy Moyer and Breakfast Television’s Dawn Chubai, and centred on the big reveal of the new BMW i3 and i8 vehicles. Guests were treated to the modern jazz stylings of The Max Zipursky Trio while canapés and appetizers circulated from some of Vancouver’s best restaurants. Piano prodigy Daniel Chow performed on a 24-karat, gold-leaf-overlay Fazioli piano valued at $525,000, which was available for purchase. The evening closed with a fashion show by bespoke designer Gianni Maanaki and an auction for a specially made dress inspired by the BMW i8.
