It might still be a ways away, but now is a good time to start preparing for the upcoming Fully Charged LIVE Canada event. Taking place between September 8-10, locals are expected to flood the Vancouver Convention Centre to ask a team of experts (called the Home Energy Advice Team, aka H.E.A.T.) about smart energy solutions for their homes and vehicles in B.C.

Fully Charged—a YouTube channel about electrification, renewable energy and clean technologies—has previously brought this show to the U.K., and plans to bring it to six more places around the world in 2023, with only two being in North America.

The Vancouver event is powered by BC Hydro, and H.E.A.T. (which is sponsored by Vancity) will cover topics like insulation, home EV charging, solar tech, energy bills and more. Specialists will even look at images and details on your property/home’s energy performance and help map out steps to go greener—so bring your hydro bills and prepare your questions accordingly.

And even if you don’t have specific questions about your home, it’s a great opportunity to check out the Vancouver companies showcasing their talent and solutions.

“The goal is to inspire change and be smart about the choices we make,” said Jason Heard, event director of Fully Charged Canada, in a release. “Whether the desire is to live off grid, charge an EV from sunlight, build a net zero home, or just make the right decision when it comes to home heating and cooling, show attendees will hear and learn about a host of options.”
