It was a day of networking and interesting discussions with some of the province's top business leaders.
BCBusiness‘s annual Top 100 event once again celebrated the biggest companies in the province by revenue.
Those in attendance were treated to a networking luncheon, followed by a keynote interview with Ian Gillespie, founder of real estate developer Westbank Corp. Gillespie spoke about his upbringing in Port Coquitlam, how he became interested in becoming a real estate developer and how he envisions shaping Vancouver’s future.
Following Gillespie was a panel of Top 100 executives, featuring Vancity president and CEO Christine Bergeron, Futura Corporation founder and BC Lions owner Amar Doman, WorkSafeBC president and CEO Anne Naser and BC Hydro president and CEO Chris O’Riley.
The panellists talked about surviving a recession and their plans to move their organizations forward during tough economic times.
We also honoured Canada Wide founder and former CEO Peter Legge on his retirement from the company.
