Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Pacific Region program is back in full force.

After skipping 2020 and abbreviating last year’s list, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year’s Pacific Region program was back in full force in 2022. The 28th edition features a litany of impressive finalists, many of whom we’ve previously profiled in this magazine. The bad news is that we didn’t have room for all of them and had to focus on only featuring the winners. The good news is that EY didn’t disappoint—the nine awardees (and one special citation) are some of B.C.’s best and brightest, with a combination of names you’ll likely recognize and a few you won’t soon forget.

Curtis Braber, BE Power Equipment

Phoebe Jiang and Simon Wong, Pixieset

Tom Madden, Acuitas Therapeutics

John Nicola, Nicola Wealth

Marcia Nozick, EMBERS

Euan Ramsay and James Taylor, Precision NanoSystems

Anna Sainsbury, GeoComply

Hamed Shahbazi, Well Health Technologies Corp.

How the Winners Were Chosen

EY Entrepreneur Of The Year is an annual global awards program administered by Ernst & Young (EY). For Canada’s Pacific Region program, EY selects judges from among local business leaders and past program winners. Judges evaluate the nominees based on several factors, including entrepreneurial spirit, value creation, strategic direction, national and global impact, innovation and purpose-driven leadership. These nine Pacific Region winners will compete at the national awards celebration in November, where EY will announce the national winners, including Canada’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022. Details of the nomination process and judging criteria are available at ey.com/ca/EOY. Nominations are accepted year-round.
