Fairmont Waterfront
November 5, 2011

The Women in Leadership (WIL) foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary at its 4th annual Superwomen & Friends Gala. The elegant event – this year titled the Decade of Dreams gala – brought together hundreds of women (and a few men) to raise funds for the non-profit organization, and to strengthen a network of female role models across the city.

Catherine Runnels, BrandLive president, took the stage to share her inspirational story of flipping burgers for a living, to leading international events and working with A-list musicians.

WIL was founded in 2001 in Victoria by commerce graduate Maya Kanigan. There are currently three offices nationwide: in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. Each year WIL coordinates mentorship programs for hundreds of women and runs one of Canada’s largest women’s speaker series.
