More than 100 VIPs attended the celebration of Science World CEO Bryan Tisdall’s retirement. Encouraged to dress in their summer whites or blues, guests were served canapés and refreshments. Speeches described how Science World has changed over the last 18 years and the lasting impact it has made on the province under Tisdall’s leadership.

Joining Science World in November 1997 at a time of some turmoil for the organization, Tisdall spent several years steadying the course, ultimately leading to the organization’s current revised and sustainable business model, a significant increase in attendance and a sound financial position.

Science World’s mission and history is to engage British Columbians in science and to inspire future science and technology leadership throughout the province.
