To help us choose last year’s 30 Under 30, we sent each candidate a series of questions to see what made them tick. Here’s how Anthony Liu, who is CEO of Aspectek and Milo Enterprises, responded.
What motivational quote gets you going? “If you can dream it you can do it.”
Beyond family/friends, who inspires you to succeed?“Elon Musk, he started Paypal, Space X, Tesla, Solar City, all of which are cutting edge in different fields and are all billion dollar companies. He not only dreams big, but he actually make it happened.”
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?“Work smart don’t work hard, you are only worth as much as the job you are doing, but if you are innovating there are no price tag for that.”
What’s the worst advice you’ve ever received?“Work hard and you will be successful one day.”
What’s your biggest fear?“I’ve done everything I can and the company stops growing.”
What’s your biggest regret?“I was born to late, should have come out a few years earlier.”
What’s your favourite TV show right now?“Shark Tank, because I got to see all the new ideas, how the shark assess their company, and the thoughts behind their decision.”
Favourite magazine? “I don’t really read magazines, I usually get all my information online, but when I read magazines, I usually read Canadian Business.”
What song is on repeat on your device right now?“I don’t really listen to any music, I usually listen to the radio when I drive, I listen to news in the morning and FM 94.5 during the evening.”
A little known fact about me is “We started the company with $2000, a few cartons of defective products which we have to fix before selling it, and $200,000 in debt.”
