What’s your top goal for 2010?
To deliver an exceptional customer experience – certainly at YVR – during the Olympic Games. 2010 is Vancouver’s moment on the world stage, and all eyes will be on us.

If you could wave a magic wand, what would appear – or disappear – on Jan. 1?
Since 9/11 the aviation industry has had a number of major shocks: 9/11 itself, SARS. Now, of course, there’s the global economic crisis, so I’d like to see a healthy global aviation industry in 2010, with global carriers serving world markets in an open and competitive fashion.

In your world, what needs to happen to make the year a success?
A couple of things come to mind, if I’m looking back on it in 2011. One is that we’ve hosted the best Winter Olympics ever. And two is that there’s a breakthrough in securing a role for YVR as a major gateway for Asian traffic, particularly Chinese traffic.
