One Last Thing: Sue Paish

Sue Paish | BCBusiness

Canucks fan and CEO of LifeLabs Inc. Sue Paish is a true West Coast woman. She might work too hard, but she’s unabashedly happy, especially in the fresh, still mountain air

What’s your preferred method of communication? Frequent and candid with a touch of humour.

When do you get your best ideas? Hiking in the hills on the North Shore.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Waking up to clear skies and no wind somewhere on B.C.’s west coast. The Canucks winning the Stanley Cup would also be a nice touch!

How do you take your coffee? I don’t; I’m a tea gal.

What is your mobile phone of choice? BlackBerry

What is your greatest regret? I don’t have any… none at all.

What is your favourite business destination? I’ve had a few really successful business meetings atop Grouse Mountain.

On what occasion do you lie? I’d like to say never, but I do fudge the truth sometimes about my eating habits.

What is your greatest fear? Dying violently.

What is your most marked characteristic? My obsession with the outdoors, my love of photography, but likely my late-night work habits.

What is your present state of mind? I truly believe I am one of the luckiest people on the planet. It doesn’t get any better than this.

How do you travel to work? Drive

Come into the office early or stay late? I am nearly always at the office well into the evening and work at home after that.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I could learn to say “no” a bit more and perhaps cut back on my late-night work habits.

Which business person do you most admire? Wendy MacDonald was a real icon.
